In the world of electronics anything is possible,but on these vehicles MIL light would be on if this happened. Once the pcm see's no feedback from the sensor a code pops in memory.
What are your symptoms ?please explain?

99 v10 (80,000miles ) engine rotates but wont fire up. have fuel pressure in rails, fuel pump hums in tank, have power to the COPS but no spark. switched cops from different cylinders and still no fire. Crank and cam sensors voltage pulses when engine turns but cant get a probe down in the connectors to see if im getting power to the cam and crank sensor. Only things I could think of now is a bad MAF or PCM ??

Dude, this is unbelievable but somebody told me to hold down the trip button on the odometer while switching the key on and off, then try and start it. Well low and behold it worked, truck fired right up. Have you ever heard of this before ? I sure haven't!!!
