NoisyBlower, sounds loose
I dont like to add to any clutter, although I haven't found anything that resembles my problem.
Ive got an 88 v6 4wd ranger... Man, my blower doesn't work on any other setting but high... hell, I don't care that low/med/med-hi don't work, I can hardly feel it comin out of the panel on hi anyway... maybe that's a problem too.
It sounds good one second, sometimes up to 3 minutes and then it starts making this horrible loud, squealin' sound like the motor or belt inside that box on the firewall is loose, or some bearings are going out on the fan. I hope it's something simple like a loose nut I can just tighten up... I don't wanna put anymore $cash$ into her.
By the way, how do I tear into that heater box to get to the fan/blower motor? I hope it's easier than all the other work Ive done to her...
