Ideling trouble
My truck is a 1999 Ford, F150 with a six cylinder and a 5 speed manuel transmisson. While I am at idle (w/ clutch out and trans in nuetral)the tach reads between 800 and 900 rpm. W/out tuching the accelerater the rpms will jump to about 1400 or 1500 rmps by itself. This happens about every 30 seconds. I notice it happening while the car is driven, too.
