Hey guys... '04,6.0, bone stock,...anybody have a miss or stumble after coming to a stop at a stoplight or stop sign? Almost feels like it's missing. Only time it does this is from a stop, under light acceleration. It's intermittant also. Only did it once in 65 miles today on back country roads and 3 times yesterday on the same drive.... My wire harnesses have been replaced under recall and the 1st re-calibration was done last year, the one for the EBP valve problems. Head Gaskets were done to prevent the future probs. All filters are clean and zero water in fuel water separator..ANY ideas?
Did they do both harnesses? Mine had this and they had to replace both as there was chaffing on the gas pedal switch. They said this was common with adjustable pedals but the new harness was longer to support this.
Both Harnesses were replaced & wrapped for double protection. The problem turned out to be a coked up EGR valve. It's been cleaned w/ Gumout carb cleaner in an upright position and the truck runs like it should...thanks for the reply!
Well I thought it was fixed...it stumbled again from stop light so I took it to Yocum Ford in Lansdale, PA to Joe Walsh & Steve...both excellent diesel techs...they performed the pin test to see if the EGR valve was actuating and it failed,,,new EGR valve and I was on my way. EZ fix.
