Use a..cooler..rated for at least 24,000 GVW rating.
Mount in front of the A/C on brackets, not use ties.
Install lines in series with the trans 'return' line from the radiator.
Using hoses, double clamp each joint with at least 1" of hose slipped onto the metal tubing locations.
Fans, I use a fan on my aux cooler, but no electric for the engine.

how much work is involved in actually installing it on these trucks though? how much do i need to take out to even get to anywhere where i'd install it. is it a fairly easy thing to do?
If you take the black plastic cover off the radiator/ grill/latch area (under the hood), this allows you to see the areas in front of the A/C condenser.
I cut 2 flat brakets to mount the cooler in the drivers side area.
You will have to drill some 1/4 or 5/16 holes for mounting and run the lines down and thru the bottom splash panel being sure not to cause a foldover, restricting the line..
Cut the return line open and inset the cooler, clamp it up. Check for leaks and again after about a month recheck the clamp tightness.
