I got a 05 6.0 that when you start it up after it sits over night it starts loping real bad and wont move until you let it warm up for about 15 min.As of yesterday there wasn't any codes. It sounds funny though, romp romp romp.Any ideas would be great.I am going to hook it back up the computer tomorrow, just figure i would ask to see if anyone else has experinced this. Also i just changed the oil and filters.
I dont recall any smoke but will check it again tomorrow and see if there is any. The dealer has changed a couple of injectors in the past. The truck has 40,000 on it.
Its been doing it for a couple of weeks. It did before the oil change and fuel filter change thats why we changed them.Whatever it is it seems like it keeps getting worse.A worker put it in the shop last night and tried to start it this morning and said he had to cycle the glow plug like three times along with cranking it a little after each cycle. Acts just like it has to build up oil in the high pressure oil pump to start. In the morning i am going to hook up the telstar to check injectors and see what else i can find. When it does start if you put it in gear and try to move it it just puts out black smoke and wont move until it warms up.It had a programmer on it so i took it off and does the same.Any other ideas would be great. Will let everyone know if i find out anything with scanner. Thanks for the support.I am trying to avoid taking it to the dealer.I did check the oil and it is on the full mark. Also the shop was about 50 degrees.
