going to swap out the closed knuckle axle in my 74 250 for an axle from a early 77 highboy.,so will i need to get a new ppv for the brakes or will the old one on the truck be sufficient, and will master cylinder need to be swapped out or not thanks

Reason: omission
I did the same with my 75 (drum to disc). I used the ppv off the disc truck, found that the booster from the drum truck would not fit the master for the disc truck and ended up using a booster from a pre 77 3/4 ton 2wd with dics breaks that didn't have the bellcrank and the master off the same 2wd. A good way to find what you need for a booster and master is to look at the parts book for a 76 3/4 ton 4wd they basicly used the same parts
as I described. If you need more info you could pm me look in my public profile
thanks kinda thought they wouldnt work.just have the axle, no truck to look at ,guess i will need to but a new ppv too, as well as m.c. and power booster
