Block & head composition ?

What are the blocks & heads made of on the 4 cyl, 6 cyl & hybrid? Anyone have problems on the aluminum ones?Doing some analysis on which to buy in the future.

the v6 is all aluminum, keeps the weight down, and good heat transfer qualities. It's not an overly stressed engine so there shouldn't be any reliability issues related to the composition. Not sure of the other engines but likely the same.

The 2.3L is all aluminum as well, powerplant for the hybrid also. I don't know about the 2.0L zetec in earilier models but I would guess it's aluminum head and iron block. With any engine combo you won't have any troubles. The tranny is the weak link in earlier models unless it's taken care of then they'll last forever also.
