Removing Column Auto Shift Lever

Gday all.

Have just had the 3 speed shift in my 79 changed from the steering column to a b & m quicksilver on the floor. hndles so much better and looks pretty tough i must say.... only problem is i now have this dog useless shifter on the column that does nothing.

Fishing for info if anyone has removed this themselves?

Hey phat, If u want to just remove the handle look at base of handle you will see a roll pin holding it in just drive that pin out and remove handle. chuck

See if you can find somebody to cut off the mounting point for the shifter and then TIG weld a piece over the hole, sand and paint.
