Have just had the 3 speed shift in my 79 changed from the steering column to a b & m quicksilver on the floor. hndles so much better and looks pretty tough i must say.... only problem is i now have this dog useless shifter on the column that does nothing.
Fishing for info if anyone has removed this themselves?

There's a plain shift collar made by Ford. It was used on the column when vehicles were equipped with floor shifts. The collar has no hole for the shifter. I believe the original Ford number was C3DZ-7228-A...that number may have been updated. But your dealer can cross reference that number, or look up the correct one. Basic number (7228) remains the same.

Hi, Hows the weather down there, and Merry Christmas. I just saw a plan shift collar on ebay some where. If I can find it again I will post it. Have a good one. Erv
