Anyone used Nitto terra graplers?? Found some in a 285/75/16 for my 4x4 01 f250. Any thoughts on them?? I'm getting these for $595 on the truck. Can I go any larger or is that about it???
285's are gonna be the biggest you wanna go if you have the stock 16x7 wheels. Nitto TG's are decent tires.... got several buddies who run them and have gotten 35-50k miles on them. Pretty good all around, OK off-roading. Any bigger tire and you are gonna want to get a wider wheel.
I cant comment about the nitto's but I agree about the 285 being just about the biggest tire you want to run. I have 285's on stock rims and I have to play with air pressure to get even tread wear. I runn 55 psi on all four tires and only air up the rears when I haul or tow. I have Bridgestone Revo's tires and I have gotten 55K out of them with another 10-15K before they need to be replaced next spring.
Others will say they run 295's 305' 315's. I would not. The 285's will give you ZERO rub issues and good tread wear with out sacraficing durability and saftey.
After saying that, I am looking to get 16x8 or 17x8 wheels in the spring just to make everything right.
