Probst fuel Injection book question

I see lots of people suggest getting the Probst FI book. Just looking on the "bay" The Probst book covers from 1988 up EFI, I have a '86 EFI.
What's the difference between a '86 EEC IV, and a '88 and up EEC IV?
will the '88 and up book not work well for a '86 EEC IV?
Thanks

no idea. there's gotta be something though. is yours a throttle body or direct port injection?

88 truck is very closely the same as an 86 for EFI drawings and how things work.
Both are Speed Density, batch fire injection, same distributor and MAP controlled etc.
