quick question

quick question

i got some Autometer Sport-comp guages and i was installing the Boost guage using the Boost "T" into the map sensor...got it all together and started it up...there was no reading at all...what coulda went wrong

Note:none of the electric for lights was installed yet but it was all in the pillar and ran to where it needed to go just not connected

2002 PSD 7.3

Go take your truck for a drive, and see if it moves. Get on it pretty hard and load the engine down. It will not move at idle, because there is no load on the engine. You gotta put some strain on the engine to produce boost. It's mechanical, so you don't need electric to make it work, so go try it out now.

so even revving it wont make it go up?

Nope, revving it in idle puts no load under the engine.

29 is good. If I remember correctly 23 is what the truck is set to defuel at and set a code. Do you have a boost regulator for your map sensor?
