the wal-mart batteries are junk, i'd rather wind up with an exide that has slightly outlived its shelf life. i've tried the wal-mart batteries, sometimes my truck would start, others it wouldn't. most of the batteries i have gotten that are seconds i have killed four and five times and they still hold a charge and still start the truck just fine.
but did u realize that walmart batteries are made by exide?
yeah i know, but the problem is i can't find a high cold cranking amp (atleast 650) battery at wal-mart that will still fit my stock hold down. at the place that i get seconds batteries i do. both times i got a battery at wal-mart the battery had under 550 cold cranking amps

i got 1 w/ 700 cca that fits just fine
if ur interested in getting 1 like it i can get the # off it later
yes please, cause every time i go to wally world they try to give me this little thing that only has like 490 cold cranking amps that starts my truck when it feels like it.
I run the 875 CCA/66AH Motorcraft. It has a 3 year free replacement and a 100 month pro-rate. I gave $80 for it and the 3 year replacement has already been worth it. I ripped one of the lugs right out of the battery- walked into the ford dealership, they gave me a new one and on my way i went. I've run my headlights on highbeam while cutting wood for 3 and 4 hours at a time- truck has started right up each time. I also drove my truck for 3 days (~300 miles, at least 100 with headlights on) with a bad alternator before i realized it.
It sure beats the 450 CCA battery i bought my truck with. Sometimes my truck would start, other times it wouldn't. if it was below freezing i could only get about 30 seconds of cranking out of it and if i turned my headlights on with the truck off, it'd only last about 15 minutes. that one actually exploded as i was driving down the road. . .
