New to this kind of thing, I just registered. I'm in N.W. Missouri, have a 2000 V-10 Excursion that's nice till ya gotta fill it up and I just sold a '77 F-150 4X4 last week. I found this site thru Google in search of help identifying an engine I have on the shop floor. I was told it was a 332, but it's not like anything I've come across in that size before. It looks more modern, much bigger and definately is NOT a Y-block. I spend a lot of time gone with the big tanker truck hauling food grade products all over the country, the rest of my life is run by grandkids and cats. We have 5 boss cats at home at the moment. As to the engine, I have some pics, but I'm not familiar enough with this puter thing and this site to know who to load em. Ask and ye shall receive if I can figure this thing out. I've managed to send em email once or twice, I think I can do that again. Dunno yet what numbers there may be stamped on the block, this search is just starting and I'm frankly not even sure where to start looking on the block for any numbers that may be there.
There are several forums here where you can talk about engines. Click on the Forums tab at the upper right and browse over the selection.
Uploading pictures to your gallery is easy (I even managed to load a few). For that one you will want the pictures loaded on your hard drive (usually the C drive) on your computer. After that click on the gallery tab at the upper middle of this page and then follow the directions to add pictures. Take your time, it's really easy.
so much to read, so little time. Already gotten lost a couple times by following what was interesting until I forgot what I started looking at in the first place. Funny thing, I noticed someone mention better fuel mileage w/V-10 as opposed to a 5.4. I find that hard to buy. I've a 2000 excursion w/the V-10. if I really work hard at it on smoothe level ground like we have an absence of around here, I can coax 13.3 out of it on distance driving and ignoring the cruise control that wants to downshift at every mini grade. Most times, it falls into the low 12sif ya don't really concentrate all your full attention to mileage driving. Must be something I don't know about this thingie.
