Question

4wd Quit!!

I have a 2002 Explorer XLT 4WD. The 4 wd refuses to engage (no 4x4 Hi or low). Light on the dash switch does not illuminate and no 4wd notification appears in the instrument cluster .. totally dead !!

What besides a fuse could be causing this ???

shift motor and/or the connector at the t/c

how can u test the shift motor? if i have to replace it are we talking $$

It is repairable, look up the proceedure, not handy for me, not at my desk
