Sounds good birddog16. I get D2 mostly and D1 when they switch to winter blend. I've never tried any B5. Never seen it sold around here. What are the cetane ratings for those?

B5 is 5% biodiesel. I don't recall the exact numbers but it seems like premium is a min of 45 cetane. I also found the container the IH dealer gave out for anti gel and it was gunk brand so I guess they all don'e give out stanadyne. Also good post on the complete broadcast message.

I use Lucas Oil Upper Cylinder Lubricant.

My F150 is a 2007 4.2L V6.

I've got an Airaid Cold Air Intake, 40 Series muffler, and 91 Octane Performance Tune by Mike Troyer.

I just got back from a short trip down the 101: 93.7 miles / 3.605 gallons = 25.991678224687933425797503467406 miles per gallon.

That's right. I'm getting 26 MPG in an F150.

Were you driving downhill, 25 MPH tailwind, in neutral, with the engine off?

I am using an SCT X3 Power Flash from Troyer Performance.

1996 & newer Ford Lincoln-Mercury cars & trucks (except the new 6.4 TT diesel), including the F-150, Lincoln Mark LT, Mustang and all other FoMoCo vehicles, including both gasoline and diesel engines!

The X3 arrives Pre-Loaded with "canned" SCT tunes so it can be used right away as long as you do not have modifications that REQUIRE custom tuning, while you are waiting for us to send your Troyer Performance CUSTOM tunes. Most important is the fact that this version of the NEW X3 comes with 3 Troyer Performance CUSTOM Tunes, so it has the capability of storing both the pre-loaded "canned" tunes as well as 3 Troyer Performance Custom Tunes at the same time! You can also order additional Troyer Performance CUSTOM Tunes tunes at extra cost - as many as you want - and simply keep them all stored on your hard drive! We have some customers that have over 10 different tunes they keep stored on their hard drive, and when they want to use something different than what they have loaded onto the X3, they simply connect to their PC and overwrite one or more of the existing Troyer Performance CUSTOM Tunes with other types of Troyer Performance CUSTOM Tunes - this can be done an unlimited number of times on the same vehicle, and you never lose your tunes because YOU store them on YOUR local PC's hard drive! (Just call us at (540) 965-7123 for the cost for additional custom tunes if you want more than the 3 tunes that comes standard with this version of the X3.)

Featuring a larger backlit display, the SCT X3 Power Flash has high speed datalogging (data recording) capability. Using the keypad, you can monitor, and even record (datalog) any of the PCM's operational parameters. This can be done using it's on-device" capability, or to get the widest selection of parameters (and how we prefer to do it here at Troyer Performance), using the free LiveLink software by having the X3 connected to your vehicle's OBD-II port and your personal computer's USB port. (You can also view data informally using the X3's built-in LCD display.)

The X3 also allows two 0-5 volt analog inputs when datalogging (such as an EGT gauge or the LM-1 portable Wideband Air/Fuel ratio recorder & other Innovate Motorsports products we offer elsewhere on this site!). You'll be able to tell what those "Check Engine" lights, SES (Service Engine Soon) warnings, "wrench" icons & Failsafe modes etc. actually mean, the X3 also allows you to read & clear OBD-II DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), including all of the manufacturer-specific codes, not just the generic OBD-II codes as most units are limited to. This enables you to immediately identify the code(s) being reported by the vehicle's PCM without leaving home, right in your own driveway.

A nice additional feature is the ability to use the X3 to connect to your Windows PC for things like email program changes to your custom tuning, Internet updates, downloads, etc.

The X3 allows you to make changes to your custom tuning for things like gear ratios & tire size changes, shift points, shift firmness levels, air/fuel ratios, and timing adjustments as well, giving you a large array of adjustability of your tunes.

Upper cyl lube? Sorry fellas, speaking from personal experience, I would never use it. I'll try to make a long story short. Whenever I would take a long camping trip, I would add a few ozs. of marvel mystery oil to each tank at fill up, thinking I'm doing the motor good....big mistake. Did this for many years and many trips. One day, it made a horrible noise when I started it. Fast forward, a BIG chunk of carbon lodged under an intake valve making the piston hit it. My mech. pulled both heads and they were LOADED with carbon....a valve job at 60K miles on my 460......never again!

How would carbon build up? Maybe it was the MMO?

I blame it on the MMO, but I believe an engine will get sufficient lubrication without having to add any kind of additive to the gas.

Yeah, that makes sense. I personally like to dump a bottle of redline SI-1 in the tank before an oil change.

My riding lawn mower was cutting in and out, I would clean and adjust it but it would end up the same. I was going to rebuild the carburetor and I had some Lucas upper cylinder oil laying around so I put it in the gas tank. It runs great now, just as smooth as ever.
