94 F150 engine/tranny problem.....
I have a 94 F150 with a 5.0 and an auto tranny. I'm not sure what kind of auto it is, but it has the push button O/D on the gear selector. I was coming home from work last night and it started what felt like missing. I also noticed that the O/D light was blinking.
I got to messing with it today and it still does it. I can put it in reverse and it seems like it doesn't do it. But when I put it in D,2, or 1 it goes back to like it is missing. It also does it in park and neutral. I cleaned the air filter and put a new fuel filter on this morning. I am gonna get plug wires, plugs, cap and rotor tonight to put on it to see if that cures it.
Anyone have any ideas on what is going on with my truck? It just started doing it all at once last night. Also I noticed that the manifolds where cherry-red last night, so cut one apart and it looked like it was in good shape. (I could see through the honeycomb stuff.)
