Axle swap
I can get an axle from a 95 ambulance for my 99 E-350, but it has drum brakes, I have disc. Is there a way I can swap my brakes over to it, is it a direct swap, I'm needing another rear end due to mine whining for the past 4 years, this one is the gear ratio I was looking for? I know my axle is a dana, not a Sterling, just not sure it's compatible, and what else may be needed for the swap.

Usually they wrecking yards have all that cross-platform stuff. I honestly do not know if they will swap. Your 99 even has a different style Ebrake, the "drum in a hat".
Have you ruled out getting a new ring & pinion for your old one?

I have an LS, I've been through this years before, it cost a lot to rebuild one, cheaper to buy a brand new one to swap in, I was just hoping to swap everything over to the 95 and slide it under.
