yea and no i got a 400 in my 86 f250 and i got a 400 in my shed, but i do know they seem hard to find in a bone yard. the most comen ford engine in the bone yards in norfolk va is the inline 6. i like my 400.
the dude has a reserve price on it and doesnt list a shipping price. and the block needs to be bored .030. i dont remember how much it cost but i know they charge for each cylinder thats is bored. you might being better buying a new one from a part store. i just bought mine for 1300. from advance. it runs good and i havent had no problems from it so far. i had a 400 in a mechine shop. spent around 1500.00. had the block bored .060 over, everything in the block new except the connecting rods and crank, everything else was replaced. both heads rebuilt and one sleved and built to a short block. now that engine is back down to a bear block setting. i picked a bad mechine shop to deal with.
and from what i can see on that 400 from ebay, you just getting a block thats been cleaned and painted. damn that aint nothing. a 351m and 400 is the same block, same heads. the main thing you need i dont see on his list, the crank and the connecting rods. the crank and rods is what makes the 400 diferent from a 351m
