Can't hear the fuel pump. Keep turning the key on and off till you hear it pump up then it starts right off. Have replaced the ignition switch 2 times, 2nd from Ford but didn't help. Checked the ground plug on the neg battery wire and the one on the fender below the hood hinge. Pulled the connecter apart at the HP pump, looked good. Both of the relays click when you turn the key on out by the master cylinder. Any other place we should check for ground? The relays I'm talking about are in the wiring harness and are square, down on the inner fender below the Master cylinder.
Are these the ones for the fuel pump? '89 150 sb 4X4 302 AOD.
Any other ideas? Any help would be apreciated.

Yes those are the ones.
Sounds like you have a bad Hi-Pressure check valve inside the Hi-pressure pump letting the fuel lines drain dry.
The above is true if the pump is running when you turn on the key and the pump runs each time for one second.
If it does not run at all until you turn on the key a bunch of times then you have a bad motor in the pump.
Either way you need a new Hi-Pressure Pump.
