Question about a 49

I have a 49 pickup and there are parts that I can't find.
I'm looking for a glove box door and the ash tray door or the door that is left of the glove box door.
I also am trying to figure out what the last three letters of the vin # stand for the vin goes like this:
97HC*323982*RIC
(RIC)
?
I also have a 48 Flathead V8 239c Which is in pretty good shape, but to wimpy for me and wonder how much it is actually worth and am interesting in selling it along with a cab mounted behind the seat gas tank which is in pretty good condition.

Question about a 49

For your parts, look up Mac's ANtique Ford Parts in New York. I have a '50, and the only parts I couldn't get from there was the exterior vent cover.

Good Luck!

Question about a 49

If your flathead is truly in good shape its worth a lot. Also, you can do things that will bring it to life (cam, carb, 4 inch merc crank and ignition). Find a flathead guy in your area and see what he (or she to be pc)has to say. If it runs and you really just want to dump it I'll be right over to get it.
