Any console suggestions?
Hello, New member and first time poster. Just got a new '07 F350,6.0 PS,4x4,CC,Lariat. I have the split front seat with a fold down console in the middle. I need some type of console that might actually sit on the floor and extend on top of the seat so it can be used for writing, storage,etc. The existing one is too short and almost sits behind you too far to be very useful. Any body seen such a product or know of a source ??

Welcome to FTE and congrats on your new F-350!
I just purchased the truck in my signature. It has the bucket seats (Captain's Chairs?) with a center console. The console has a clip (like a clipboard) and a very flat surface, great for writing.

Thanks Redford, Yes I saw your console and seat arrangement in a truck while shopping and I really liked it. Just wasn't available in the truck I wanted with other desired equipment so I convinced myself that I could adjust to the one I purchased. In reality now, I realize that the console I have is pretty useless and awkward.
Late night visit to the dealer with a wrench?

Comanche...I am not really sure what you are looking to use the console for, but check out my gallery. I have a custom built console in my '06 (pictures are from my '02 that had the same seat arrangement as yours, and I still use the same console). It is very simple to build these consoles if you have a little time, carpentry skills, and tools. Just a little particle board (or plywood...no OSB), and some carpeting (I get mine at Wal-Mart...matches perfect). The nice thing about making your own is you can make it do what ever you want!
