Tire Pressures

Just something to think about. I know a lot of you are very proactive about maintaining your Ford trucks. Just a little reminder here......Make sure to check your tire pressures. I regularly check my tire pressure so imagine my suprise when ALL of my tires were 8-10 psi low the other day. I didn't even stop to think that the temperature had dropped by approximately 20 degrees. That is enough to make your gas mileage drop just as well. Anyway, I just thought I would throw that out there.

Every Saturday morning.

As well, somehting to add to this, check your tire pressure when your tires are cold.

Don't forget the spare. You might need it one day. Mine had 20 lbs in it.

If you are too lazy to check your pressures, head to your local tire shop. Most shops check, and fill/deflate them as needed, for no charge.

What is the recommended pressure for the BFG's stock 18" tire's? Mine were at 45 psi from the dealer/factory.

The recommended tire pressure should be on the inside pillar drivers door. In addition to the cold tire tip - use a dial guage. The pocket guages aren't accurate. You can use the dial guage to calibrate your pocket guage if you want to keep it in your dash.
