99 Explorer Warm Start Stalling - Cured
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...questions.html
I cleaned the throttle body using CRC's Air Intake Cleaner (reportedly safe to use on coated throttle bodies). There was a build-up equivalent to tar on the body and valve. I didn't look carefully before starting, but the hole in the valve may have been plugged before cleaning. It took about 20 minutes with plenty of paper towels and a soft toothbrush, but finally got it clean. the engine now idles smoother and it hasn't stalled on warm start-up. I think that I am going to start doing this annually. Guess I know what I'll be doing to my 99 Super Duty this weekend.
