Help the newbie.
I just recently bought an 03 psd 250 and just bought it b/c i saw it and fell in love with it, now going through many forum topics I have seen alot of people hating on the 03 psd, is there a particular reason, is there something I should be keeping my eye on? And also is there anyone one on here that can look up my vin in oasis to let me know what problems if any have occured, so far my truck has been awsome and no porblems, but any info so i can be in the know would be apprecited.

NOT all of the 2003's are bad. I have a 2003 with 97,000 miles on it and it runs GREAT!
Had an oil leak when new and a reflash when new and haven't been back to the dealer
since. I do read all the stories on FTE and keep them in the back of my mind for later.

Keep reading through the forum and definatly check out the tech folder, lots of stuff to learn that can help avoid certain problems. Alot of simple things can keep it running right, fuel additives, running the right amount of oil (most of us believe in running 13.5 -14 qts) Make sure you keep up on fuel filter changes, I personally do them every 10,000. Also make sure you use a quality filters (motorcraft) Drive that thing like you stole it, they dont like to be babied.

Thanks guys, I love my truck and will never get another gasser. I guess people are right about more negative comments makeing there way on forums than positive. and plan to go thru the tech folder.

I would agree that most people come onto this site to try to figure out an issue that they are having with their truck, so you get a lot of bad comments. The thing that i have found is it dosent matter what year make or model it is, its a machine and machines might have some problems. I have two buddies that run 03 6.0's, one of them is bone stock and the other is highly modified, neither have had any real issues.
