Transmission Numbers
Can anybody help me on transmission number on what I think is a 4 speed on a 1948 F1 pickup? The casting numbers were found on the upper left side and are: WG CO4 and under these markings are: T#eight Capitol D-IA.

That's a 3 speed H/Duty tranny. THose are scarce. Worth a few $$. Not many trucks used it. The 3 speed L/D and H/D didn't have the rear emerg brake drum. The 4 speeds did. I'll bet if you clean it up better, it will say T 87 D on the case.
