02 expedition blown spark plug

i have read all the posts on the subject. i blew the #3 plug on the passenger side. 5.4 engine in an expedition. i can fix it but dont have the right tools!

i dont want to buy the kit from timesert, just for a one time deal. anyone have any other ideas? thanks, mark

i would like to beg, borrow or steal! for a fair price of course. thanks, mark

got the job done, took about 2 hrs. no problems, and the truck is running fine. i used grease on the tap and i'd say i got 99% of the shaving. helicoil recommends using rtv high temp to seal the insert. seems to be holding ok.

the kit from helicoil has the long reach tools and 12 inserts, a life time supply for me.
