Escort is history.

I am gonna start this out by saying don't worry I will be fine. A dodge caravan ran a stopsign came into my lane and hit my escort head on. I am gonna take an educated guess and say the escort is totaled. I am a little banged up myself. My shoulder hurts and so does my back. I am gonna ride out to the hospital and get checked out in a bit. I will get back on as soon as I can. I may even be on more over the next few days. It all depends on what the docs say. Don't worry I am tough as nails you can bank on that.

Well I just got back from the hospital. They just plain did nothing for me. My back is so stiff and hurting so much I am not walking right. Can't even sit for long periods. I went in there and waited over two hours. They would not even give me an xray. They told me I was walking so my back could not be broke. That was their justification for no xrays. All they did was prescribed me some junk to mask the pain and told me to get bedrest. I told them I could have had bedrest for the past two hours if I knew this darned hospital was going to be a waste of time.

I will get a followup. Does anyone know of a doc that gives a damn. I am looking for one somewhere in the middle between snellville and athens. I don't know of any good docs because I avoid medical care like the plague.

I appreciate that. I will get back to 100% soon or atleast very close. There is nothing in this world that can keep me down too long. I will not let it happen. I am just too stubborn for that. That being said I will take it easy over the next few days atleast till I am thoroughly checked out and some of the soreness goes away. It coulda been worse I could have been in a caveler or some foreign job. That car and that seatbelt took care of me no question about that. The old truck is back to being a daily driver and with this accident in mind its gonna get updated to having shoulder belts.

P.S. I hate seatbelts worse than anyone but please wear those things. I was very lucky to be wearing mine. It helped big time. I do not usually wear the dang things. I think of this as a wakeup call.

I appreciate it Bro. I will give you a holler if I can't locate my dads Doc by tomorrow. I wish I remembered where his office is located. Somewhere in lawrenceville. Dads been gone going on 9 years so it may not even be in the same building.

Sorry to hear about your wreck - I was in one on holloween... Woman turned left in front of me and I hit the rear of her car... Totaled the Saab she was driving and my GF's eclipse - the woman that pulled in front of me and I were ok though.

Just a bit of advice - call your insurance company (or that of the van that hit you) and tell them you need to go to the doctor. All of that should be covered my the medical portion of the auto insurance. If your hurt and go to the doc on your own without consulting the insurance co and later you have problems that stem from the accident it is a huge mess to get the responsible party to pay.

Also, if the van was at fault (hopefully they got a ticket) call their insurance company and tell them you need a rental car. You're out of a set of wheels at no fault of your own - they have to provide you with a rent car.

Sorry about your accident. Glad you are ok for the most part minus the back pain, but at least it wasn't anything more serious then that. Take care.

I finally got xrayed. Almost everything is great as in it will heal. I do have a slightly degenerated disk. I will be back to my old self in no time.
