Sometimes you get lucky for a house under 300 grand, but your right, usually a house under 300 grand, isnt very good.

Hey pud, I did not know that you are living in Quesnel. When I roll through next time I will look you up. I thought you were up in that Peace country. Do you remember Jim Rawsthorne? He lives in Quesnel. Him and his wife own the Mr. Mikes there.

I am glad not to be going to Winfield / Kelowna this year. I like to stay put. It is way more fun up here.

So I guess that you are off for awhile and go back after Christmas? Is it your job to get to where you work?

man actually I havent worked this year since March, this winter is really slow. Something to do with budgets...the big oil companies have spent their budget for the year (2006) and are just using the existing wells. So for anyone working on a production well are ok, but for exploration and new construction people (me) got screwed. Come January the new (2007) will be in and companies will be making up lost time and I'll be going nuts.
Its my responsibility to show up to work, but the company handles accomodation which usually is camp, but sometimes a hotel w/meals. (cant put beer on company tab, tried that).
I cant wait to get back to work, I just got my last EI cheque yesterday and Im hoping my parental leave will start up (had baby in september) just in case I dont get to work before my next mortgage payment and bills arrive. LOL...I see Visa just upped my limit to $4000, Ive only had the card a couple months now...they must want me to spend more.

......and Jim, thats cool about Jim. When was the last time you saw Jim, Jim?
hahahaha, yes I had to.

Congrats on the gaffer Al. They will change your life forever, sometimes for the worse, but almost always for the better.

I saw Jim when I stayed in Quesnel one night with my wife and daughter as we were traveling back from K-town to home. We met at the Walmart, a place that you will become very familar with now that you have a kid

I have to say that for work I am lucky working for the govt. At least the pay checks are always on time. Not much pay and alot of BS to deal with, but on time cheques are nice. You can plan quite easily with that. One perk I guess.

For us it was either Kelowna or Williams Lake. The wife pulled rank so I guess it's Kelowna.
