4.6L to 5.4L Lightning

I have a 2001 supercrew with a 4.6L in it. Is it possible to put
a 5.4L lightning in it? or is this more trouble than it's worth.

Start shopping for an engine, trans, computer, wiring harness, radiator, and all the other goodies. In other words, start looking for a crashed Lightning. My guess is if you figure in the cost of that truck, all the stuff you'll have to get to replace whatever is ruined on it, and the labor, and the down time, and the storage issues of two trucks, that going down to the Ford dealer with checkbook and pinkslip and trading will look pretty good.

You would be a lot better off with a Vortech centrifugal or Kenne Bell twin screw supercharger, unless your 4.6 is in need of replacement. The amount of work and cost would be a lot higher in the 5.4 supercharged.
