You would have to use an adapter plate and custom flywheel just to hook it up... the 3.0 uses it's own bell, shares with no other engines. The rear end can be made to work, that kind of thing is done all the time. Might need narrowed and the spring pads moved, but its doable.
Besides, I said it was only a hypothetical. I could always disable the emissions controls, score one of the cylinders, and put a hole in the catalytic converter and before you know it, I have a ...... piece of junk. Hey it wasn't my best idea, but at least I'm thinking outside the box.
The Torino rear end is pretty wide and it has coil springs. You'd need to do a lot of cutting to get rid of all the mounts before you could weld on the leaf spring mounts.
why you ask? because man, thats where hot rods came from, guys taking older vehicles, throwing on parts that were not made to fit, and making them fit, may not have worked the first time, but they used their brains to make it work. ingenius. but i wouldnt put the c6 in there without the 351. YEE HA.
