Hello guys,
I am having a problem with my 96 Bronco. It has a 5.8l with e4od trans. I have searched through the posts and didn't find what I need.
I was getting about 13.5 to 14 mpg, and then all the sudden it dropped to about 10 mpg. When it idles it lopes like it has a big cam in it. My cel came on and I have two codes. The main one that is always coming up it P0175 (rich mix on bank 2), the other that I only get every once in awhile is P0174 (lean mix on bank 2). I have checked for vaccum leaks and have none. I checked for a intake gasket leak and did not find one. I was thinking it must be the o2 since I am only getting the codes from bank2 so I changed it yesterday. The light has not come back on but it is still loping so I am not sure it is fixed. Do you all have any ideals? I do not know where else to look.

my guess is the fuel pressure regulator is bad, sucking fuel in the vacuume line. Pull the vacuume line off the reg and see if it's got fuel in it.
