Someone can give you an X-plan number, but not an A-plan number. A-plan is more restrictive in that you must be an employee of Ford or one of their parnters (or be an immediate family member of that person) to get the discount. However, one of those employees can give you an X-plan number without any issues. If you want X-plan, go down to the New Ford Buyer forum and request one there. Someone may help you out.
I use the Aplan to purchase all my vehicles, hope grandma don't retire before 08 so I can get a 08 PSD lol, if you have a sam's club you can get a membership and buy through them, the discounts varry but last time I check when lookin at an 06 PSD the sam's club discount was bout $1200 less than my discount. Thats before any rebates or special offers, ford usually sends me arounf Jan a voucher for an additional $5k off a new PSD on top of my discount and any public offers availible, usually save between $10k to $15k on a new truck.

Woah more info on this! haha. I'm been pricing new VS used lately since I am an employee for a Lincoln Mercury dealership but I still can't pull the new one. How the heck are you getting $10,000 off!? If I can get that or even a little more a brand new one would be in the driveway right now!

Example, I bought my truck in July 04, sticker $43,956.00 with rebates and discount walked out the door tax tag title $32,397.43. The 06 F250 cc 4x4 xlt I looked at earlier this year, sticker $46,995.99, my price with rebates $33,329.98 before tax tag and title, however I had a voucher for an additional $5k and woulf get another $1k off by using FMC Financing so it would have been $27k plus tax tag title and they were offering $28K trade in on mine but account told me I can't trade it in and not this year.
I got mine almost as cheap through the friends and family deal in 05. (06's were hittin the lot and alot of 05's were still hanging around) I traded my 03 2WD in on an 05 FX4. Sticker was 44,600 and I got it for 34,000. I did add the 100k b2b warranty and gap so that brought price up a tad, but the base deal was as good or better than when I got the 03 on the Xplan. There were some incentives in there as well, but I don't remember the exact details.
With the Ford SD, over the past 2 years there has been a lot of market pressure for deep discounts. I disregard all invoice bs and use a basic/general discount rule of thumb: Very minimum of 20% off sticker price and prefer 25% off sticker (don't we all). 22% off seems to be middle ground or a minimum $10,000 off $45k sticker and $11,000 off $50k sticker. No reason to pay any more. Some dealers will deal other won't... Go to the dealers that will
