Overhead Rail Wiring

I am planning on mounting my back-up camera monitor in the first compartment of the overhead rail siorage. I have the three wire connector for the DVD player. Does any one know if these wires are switched? If so which ones. I've tried cheching them with a meter and it appears the green wire is the (+)hot wire, the white w/blue stripe is a switched ground, and the black is a ground. Can this be right? Thanks for any input on this. Also can I get a factory pigtail to pug in this connector and where? Thanks again.

What vehicle and what year are you working on? The DVD is factory wired?

sorry, it's a 2006 screw lariat. When I remove the first bin there is a small hole in the headliner with a three wire connector taped to the headliner. Maybe for the bin with cell phone holder or the power inverter. I'm confused about the green wire being (+) and the black being ground, The white w/blue stripe seems to be hot when the switch is off and goes dead when you start the truck. Thanks for any help!!

I think I found the white/lightblue. The diagram I am looking at shows that it does power a aux power point. It should be hot all the time. Make sure you are putting one meter lead on a good ground when you test this wire. To make double sure we know what we are looking at, go in the fuse box under the dash and pull out F18, 10 amp. The white/lightblue wire should go dead.

The dark green wire looks like another power wire. It goes to F20, 10 amp. It should be hot all the time too.
