lace></st1:City>; it has 373 gears in the differentials. I tow a 10k to 14k trailer alot and it feels like I need more gear. I was thinking of going to a 410 gear. Has anyone made a change to their gear ratio? Do you have to reprogram the computer for shift points? Also, who would you suggest to make the change?ffice

Several people have changed the gear ratio in their differentials due to changing tire sizes etc. Since you have a 4x4, you will need to change the gears in both axles as they must both match. You do not have to reprogram the speedometer as the gear ratio in the diff does not control the information sent to the speedometer, that information is conveyed by a seperate tone ring that is independent of gear ratio.
As far as having the work done, check with people in your local area who can recommend a good shop to do the work. Changing the R&P is no job for an amature. You could ask down in the local chapter of the forum for recommendation of a good shop in your area. As far as online sources, "Randy's Ring & Pinion is well respected. Expect to pay about $750 per axle for parts and labor.
Hope this helps
