Two questions

1). I am looking for a little solar charger to keep the batteries on the 04 PSD up to speed and I see a few VW ones on ebay that plug into the OBDII port. Would this work on my truck?

2). I'm looking for a second set of rims and tires for my truck, just factory. I read that the 05s and up won't work on my 04. Is this true? If so, why?

Thanks

Fred

2) The OEM backspacing is different due to the new front suspension. The 05 wheels will sit inside the fender and would rub on the 04 leaf springs. There are spacers you can use but it isn't recommended.

I have two of those VW solar chargers with the cigarette lighter plugs and we swap them among our vehicles here. Seems to work well.

Cool, I am tracking on the rims. Is there anyone that has used the VW solar panel with the OBD port? Thanks for the Info, I wonder if the panels are the same and I just modify the wiring?
