Jory...Find a good truck stop or other high volume fuel station. Yes, we use fuel, not gas or gasolene. Check the Flying-J web site for fuel prices nation wide (ablut $3.00 in WA). The tax in Washington is 34 cents/gal and fed tax is about 25 cents. Refiners are paying $2.00(+ or -)/gal for crude oil, add in the taxes, shipping and handling and it looks as if you're getting a real deal. (Just kidding)Refiners are changeing over to ULSD and are trying to winterize the fuel as well. I understand that there may not be as much winterized ULSD as there was the LSD. You should not buy fuel at a low volume station anyway, these are the places where you can get bad fuel. (If you go to a truckstop ask at the fuel desk where the low pressure pumps are located.)

i can understand his frustration. as diesel is lately been higher in price than gas, but yet diesel is refined less to get. unless it is a conspiracy with this ulsd crap.

You know why they can charge that much ????????

Because people will pay that much.................

Supply and demand

I watch a station in my town and I see people that won't cross a street for $.20 a gal less than what they are paying ........

The only way to change what is happening is to conserve and use less fuel but it seems the majority won't do that.

I know I havn't bought fuel in over two years now but untill we change the supply and demand the price is going to keep going up with time.

We have explained this over and over again, quite frankly we are getting tired of explaining it. Do a search on gas prices, diesel prices, oil company profits. Or like the song goes......"If you don't know by now, you will never never know......ooohh woooo ooohhh."

If you cannot beat them, join them is what I always say. Anything, but please quit using bandwidth on something that will not change in our lifetime.

I couldnt agree with you more...the little person always gets screwed..plain and simple. have you noticed on holidays how you always hear how one of the refinaries (sp?) brakes down? but never any other time? just to have a excuse to raise prices for the extra traveling IMO. My trucks stop here in VA was backed up and i thought it odd till i saw why..regular 87 octane was 2.01 a gallon and diesel was 2.30 a gallon....thats where im going from now on...a extra 20 mins from me to save 15 cents a gallon is worth it IMO.

At my last fill-up (about two weeks ago) I paid $2.349. I think it is up to $2.499 now.
