Oil filter removal
I did get the sucker off!
I bought one of the filter pliers, but I couldn't get enough room because of the PS pump, so off it came. And it still wouldn't budge. I had a good bite on it as close as I could get to the seam end of the filter, but it was just tearing in to it. So then I got the tire iron...
I put the spade end right on the lip of the filter and gently pried on it hoping to loosen the seal contact a little. I guess it worked because it turned a half inch when I put the pliers back on it. But it wouldn't turn any further because of all the damage done to the filter, and the oil all over it. So then I drove the screw driver through it again, and ever so slowly got it loose enough that I could finish getting it with the pliers. Overall, one of the slowest oil changes I've ever performed.
I'll snap a pic of the filter in a little while so you can see the carnage...
Thanks again for the help guys.
