Can anyone help me find a resource that will identify original wheels for ford vehicles. I have a 1951 F1 that obviously doesn't have the original wheels, and I would like to find out what was on it originally.
The information you seek lies within the catalog in the link posted below Grasshopper(s).

It is always great to see another Ohio guy on the site. I live in Massillon, not too far from Hudson. I have a51 f6 I am redoing. Not restoring, just making a driver.
This is a pic of my recently acquired 1951 F1. Has a 302 for 68 something, an Offenhauser intake, 4 bbl, exh headers, with dual exhaust. Looking forward to freshening the restore and driving.
Great looking truck! It doesn't look like it needs much...some original looking wheels will make it look even better. Before you buy any check the bolt pattern. Original wheels have a 5x5.5 pattern. It's hard to tell from the picture but the pattern on the wheels you have on there now appears to be smaller. If so, you can still get original looking wheels that accept stock hubcaps from the aftermarket in 5x4.5 and 5x4.75 patterns.
Thanks, Yes the current wheels are 14" and came alledgely from a Torino or a Mustang. I have found a set of 15" smoothies with baby moons that I plan to mount soon. From the resources given above, I have found the wheel size that came originally on the truck in case I decide to go back stock.
Just to be sure you understand...unless you have wheel adapters on there now you cannot go back to stock wheels because the the original bolt pattern is different from what you have now. You can go with "stock looking" wheels in a different pattern and width and even diameter but not stock. If the current wheels came from a Torino or Mustang the pattern is 5x4.5.
