i have dana 60 rear in my 99 ford 3/4 ton that is causing chatter,it does it all the time.Sometimes it will stop,and then i will hear a pop in the rear end and it makes a roaring sound and sends a chatter thru the truck.I changed the fluid with the friction modifier and it didnt do it for about 2 weeks.I can make the chatter go away by taking it to the car wash and spraying the rear end housing,it might go away for weeks before it acts up again.Anyone have any ideas,the old fluid didnt have any metal in it,but it was a little foamy looking.thanks randy

its a dana rear end,I looked up all the numbers and the build codes on the housing.I did replace the u-joints 2 months ago and turned the driveshaft 180 degrees,no diffrence.It will make a pop and shutter and makes a weird noise like worn out bearing would make.I can water down the housing at the car wash and it stops,and it might go a few weeks before it starts again,crazy.
