I have an 86 F250 4x4 stock axles and a t19. If I were to get my hands on a wrecked '00 F250 4X4 6speed will the axles, transmission, and t-case work on my truck. i know i will need a new clutch and that the tranny will bolt on the engine, and that the speedo cable is moved from the t-case to the rear axle, but will the axles bolt up too.
The speedo is not cable after 92, it is electronic, so that will end up being an issue... I can't answer that the case even needs to be changed. If not, speedo issue would be resolved...
The 6 speed has a larger output shaft, and you need to use it's corresponding transfer case. So, I'm afraid you may not have much luck making the stock speedo work.
Get the speedo and the wiring harness to the rear axle.
As long as you keep it all together you should be fine.
You will be doing some mods to the floor pan and relocating the cross member.
There was something about a change to the transfer case shifter as well.
The input shaft on the ZF 6 is larger, so the clutch will also take some mods.
