3.8 nightmare
Just bought my wife a 95 windstar with the 3.8L. Stupid me, I bought it with a thrown rod. Thought no big deal, I can fix it.Replace the bad rod and another it had hit along with all the rod bearing, head gaskets, spark plugs and a bunch of other stuff. Get it all put back together and start it to find it runs terrible. Checked for spark at all the cylinders and I have it. Checked my compression to be safe and have between 140 to 150 at all cylinders. Checked timing and it is good. Found out today that four of the cylinders are flooding with gas. Replaced all 6 injectors. same problem. Anybody have any thoughts
Thanks,
Jeremy

If the injectors are fine then it sounds like they maybe staying open too long. Have you checked the fuel pressure to see if it is too high? Is the engine coolant getting up to temperature? O2 sensor or MAF sensor could also cause a rich condition also.
