Thumbs up Unbelieveable....

Hello all, most call me "D". 90 Super Duty Wrecker 7.3IDI, 94 F450 Flatbed Tow truck 7.3L DI Turbo. It's unbelieveable how screwed I'd be without this site, I've been reading for a long time now, figured it's about time I acknowledge the knowledge and thank the lot of you. Sometimes the info isn't always correct, most of the time it's dead on the money,..... but all opinions lead to perspective, and all too often perspective or a change in it will lead you to the promised land. Not too mention little bits and pieces of other topics that come with it. I never knew anything about diesels and bought a couple, hehehe. Right now I'm in the middle of a nightmare, actually at the end of it. And I'm SO SO SO much better off through it because of this site. As it turns out, I need a PCM now, but the good part is,.....I had a whole bunch of problems, some serious, and they've all been fixed now. I see so many people that start out by putting in a new PCM, but then find out they have yet to fix the real problems. Without this site and all the input from people, I would have probably done that, changed my PCM to find out that my HPOP was not functioning, IPR jammed-plug was even a bit melted, my body ground for PCM was affecting my CPS signal, bad injector connection under valve cover, etc. But I didn't, and the info on this site was what made the money I spent for the AllData subscription worth it, gave me alot of direction. Thanks for the wide perspective point of view, and the extras too. Like taking something apart to get it out of your way and stumbling across things that can be a problem and knowing to check them out while you're there, like the fuel screen. Anyway, we had it running today, ran better than it has in a long time, til it wigged out, lol. Looks like a PCM for sure now. I really got alot from here. It's amazing how many extremely intelligent people out there, and as a tower I know plenty, guys that turned wrenches before I was born, have no clue what my engine looks like or how it's working. Several of them tried to tell me I needed to bleed all 8 lines, I got air, and when I explained that I don't have that style of pump, they get confused quick. One of them even told me I must obviously not be looking far enough into it, or need to take more off out of my way to see it, and he's a mechanic by trade. It really let the air out of me when Snap-On scanners even say they can't diagnose my year, except for the E4OD trans that I don't have. So, the reality is, in the last few weeks I used this site to put me in a position where I know more about my truck than most mechanics, it's not a bad feeling either, to go from completely lost to knowing what to do with an AllData PC Link.
Anyway, thanks everybody.
D
