service engine soon light/ throttle pedal

Had a problem with truck service engine light would come on, no throttle response. Bought new throttle pedal at the dealer thinking this would solve problem, mounted throttle pedal now its not working at all.
Questions- Do I have to get this pedal recoded by dealer computer to work? or is this a plug and work pedal?

The pedal should be plug and play. I had to replace the one in my 2000 three different times.

Did you check all your fuses, I know there is one that controls the go pedal, but not sure which one. When I was hooking up my gauges I accidently pulled the wrong fuse out and didn't have any throttle, it would start and idle just not throttle response.

Glad she's running. Just out of curiosity, how did you figure that out, taking it back to dealer?
