Occasional starting problems

I'm brand new to the board and have a wierd problem. I have a 2002 F-150 , 2wd, 4.6 engine, 60,000 miles. First happened a few months back than 2 or 3 times since, truck starts and runs fine, I'll stop for errands or whatever get back in and deader than a door nail, I wiggle the battery cable (pos. side with a fusible link?) and presto hood light comes on, get in and it starts fine. This will happen about every 6 weeks or so. The battery is new, the terminals are clean and tight. It's always after I've driven a bit, never when cold, never smell anything hot. Last night it happened at my daughters, opened the hood, wiggled the fusible link and everything was fine again...any ideas....anyone??? Appreciate any input. Bill

It sound like a loose or corroded cable from your description. Make sure the cable is good. If the cable wiggles on the post and your saying when you wiggle it and everything works, then it's loose and may even be corroded in between. I would try some battery terminal cleaner, take the cables back off and clean them real good, the apply some terminal grease to them. Make sure there tight.
