problems with service
My truck has been in the shop for 7 days out of the 11 that I have had it.The service dept. can't find any thing wrong while they have it.I GAVE THEM A DETAILED list of the problems with copies of forum talk about the the problems.The machine they hook up to does not indicate the codes they need to work on the truck.I don;t know what to try next,BUT I plan to stand firm and stess to them that I'm not crazy the truck has some issues and I WANT IT fixed.1 the truck smokes at a idel,2 serges at steady pedal,3 hard to start when it is cold,4 has a oil leak on the starter 5 poor fuel milege14.6 on hy.6 turbo lag at first on take off.I'M looking for help.please.The truck has 56000 miles on it.

14.6 mpg is acceptable on your truck. oill leak on starter is probably glow plug harness. what color smoke is it and how bad is it? turbo lag can be normal to a certain degree. the surging can be anything from a ebp to a vgt actuator and ypipe. i am assuming you have a 05 right?

yes its a 05.is 14 or 15 mpg on yhe hy,about all i can expect,the smoke is grayish white and disapates 10ft or so from the truck

Have your dealer run a OASIS to get you a good snap shot of any previous warranty work. May be very interesting.

i got my truck back today,they said that nothing was wrong and did't charge me the routine 100 bucks.The truck was still serging but not smoking?I drove it about 20 miles or so to se my mother.after the truck cooled down i unpluged the egr. when i drove it home it was not serging ?I could tell it seemed a little louder but was more responsive.
