Head gasket question...

Hey guys,

I'm just wondering when exactly I should be putting a new head gasket into the truck? I know its very costly and very time consuming, but I'd never wanna blow one of those because I did it on my car I had last year and its a sad moment when your vehicle finally dies, I guess I've been a bit paranoid ever since that happened.

i would wait unit it starts to leak.mine was leaking for about 6 mos before i replaced them, and it was only the right side, but i changed both anyway.it had 183000 miles on it when i did it.it is time consuming but not real bad of a job.

well I only have 145,000KM on mine, and the truck is almost 20 years old, so I figured that it would be a good idea to replace it.
