update on the never ending problem
but i dont want to get my hopes up just yet... i hooked a line to the port on the front of the passenger head and put a tee with a valve and a gauge... i blead a lot of air out of it and had it running... the gauge has a terrible flutter i guess being hooked up that close but from what i could tell it was around 75 psi.. so i took it out.. started out down the road and it seemed to hit a platform and float around 2000 rpms and no turbo? so i shifted into second and it did the same so i just held it down for a little bit then slowly you could fell power start to come and hear the turbo... (could the wastegate actuator just been a little stuck because the truck sat soooo long?) then it ran like it should sounded and felt pretty healthy.... but when i came back i opened the hood to check the pressure and the needle was bent up like it at some pointed pegged out a 100psi gauge !! should the presure get that high in the fuel rail and what do you think about the turbo not coming in right away then slowly boosting?? thanks to everyone on here for the help..... this site is loaded with great people and i try to help every bit i can.. thanks kramer
Not sure about the turbo problem. If the wastegate was stuck because it sat too long, it should be stuck in the closed position, not open. But, the truck should be able to sit for a while without the wastegate sticking.
