Heat always on?

No matter what I do with the climate controls, the heat always seems to be on. Even with the vent on it still blows hot. Any ideas?

Sounds like the blend door is not working properly, either it's stuck with a foreign object or the vacuum line driving it is broken. Remove your glovebox and pull the cover off the heater core for inspection.

If your truck is like my 90 f150, you can see the linkage and the cable for the blend door by just popping out the glove box. If you are real lucky, the cable is out of the clip and not moving the door. I'm never lucky.
If you move the temp control and the cable doesn't move, you have a problem at the other end of the cable. Might want to check the cable moving and the linkage moving before you pull the heater cover.
Good luck Frank

hmmm.... there is definitely some resistance when I try and turn the temp control to the hot side, maybe the cable is stuck.
