So I ordered an F350 brake booster to go on my F100 so the booster would clear the tall aftermarket valve covers. Now I'm missing a critical piece. The rod from the back of the brake booster is incomplete. It would appear there is another piece that would screw in to the rod from the booster and then connect to the brake pedal, possibly providing some adjustment room.
Does anyone know what the name of this part would be? Brake adjusting rod?
I'm afraid it will be a junk yard part only, and no parts yards in my area have trucks this old. I don't suppose anyone would have one of these parts lying around they'd be willing to part with? Shoot me a message if you can help, thanks.

When replacing the cab on my F350, I used a cab from a 70 F250 and I used the whole brake assembly from the F350, but I noticed the rod on the 250 was adjustable and the one on the 350 didn't seem to be adjustable. There is a plastic sleeve over the rod on both where it comes thru the firewall. I didn't remove it on the 350 because there was no need to at the time. Anyway the 250 has adjustable rod on it. One end goes to brake pedal and other screws into a rod approx. 6" long which goes into the rear of booster. there is a 4 star shaped washer that holds it in the booster. It could be removed and behind that is a spring. I don't know if the 350 is like that or not as it is in truck and very hard to see with the plastic sleeve in place. The booster size in engine compartment is the same.
Hey jdbanks! I encountered the same problem. I was missing the booster bracket that has the linkage inside the bracket. With your year it's 2 brackets with a rod that connects booster to pedal, correct? Well not sure if this is helpful but the good folks at Booster Dewey Power Brake Booster Exchange Inc. had what I needed and might be able to help you as well. My part came bead blasted in good condition and ready to mount. Reasonably priced too.
Good luck! My brothers tell me if building a Ford was easy they'd call it a Chevy.
